My very best friend of all time just bought her very first house! (ahh!!) This is such an exciting time for her and her fiancé. I wanted to make sure their experience was one of a kind! I’m SO excited to share this with you all! This is the gift guide I put together for when I was shopping for their perfect gift!

Courtney (bestie) and I are all about the stuff that NO ONE thinks about when searching for a gift. All things cleaning, batteries, tide pods, baskets/containers. Like, if it’s not the usual gift, we want it. We get an insane amount of joy from these things, it’s weird, but it’s us 😛

Which is probably why I am SO excited to spoil her (and him of course) with some fun things I know they will love and enjoy! woohoo, let’s go!

I LOVE putting my gifts in something other than just a bag – I go for either baskets, jars, containers etc. depending on the purpose or extent of the gift! For this particular gift I used a basket!

1.) PERSONALIZED

The very first thing I KNEW I was getting for Courtney and her fiancé was a custom made sign from smallwoodhomes.com! I found this company on Instagram through a friend and ended up using them for allllll of my wedding signs and absolutely LOVE them, (i’ll share more of my signs after our magical day actually happens!)

This sign was something very simple that could hang in their home, but also very personable. On the smallwoodhomes website you’ll find it is VERY easy to navigate through to customize your own product.

2.) COZY

As i’ve mentioned above, I like to put my gifts in something cute and useful and in this case, a basket! I had SUCH a hard time deciding on which basket to choose because they were all SO cute… so I’ve linked a few below so you could see a few of my favorites!

Lucky for me they will be getting married this fall so their registry has been up for a while and I’m able to see all the home delight items they are still in need of. SCORE!

This category could literally be ANYTHING under the sun that would be considered fun or funny! From a gift card to their favorite activity place, an activity game itself, or pool floats for their new oasis (yup the house came with a pool!!)

Personally, I think a gift basket isn’t fully a gift basket without their favorite beverage – so they each got their favorite beverage .. plus something a little cheesy and fun below.

Courtney and I have been best friends (AND neighbors) since the day she was born (i’m 4 months older hehe) and though i’ve been traveling and living in different places throughout the years, she’s always here when I get home and ready for our dateline “sleepovers”.

It will definitely be weird having to DRIVE 6 whole minutes (lol) just to go for our morning walks – or now… laps in the pool 😉

We have been waiting for the day we get our “own” space that we can decorate ourselves, walk around in our robes, make a mess in the kitchen, yell at ourselves for keeping every light in the house on.. and it’s finally here for her, and I am OVER THE MOON happy for them – which is why I wanted to make this basket more than perfect for their first ever house warming gift!
