easy ways to make your home more cozy this fall
There’s nothing I like more, or want more for future self, then to be the best possible host! There’s just something about providing a cozy space for all your favorite people to be in! So I’m constantly looking at ways to make our space more comforting and cozy! CHEEEEEESY I know! Okay moving on!
Here are a few easy ways I try to keep my space as cozy as possible in the fall!
clean
First things first, spend a morning, afternoon, full day, whatever it may be to get your home CLEAN and clutter free! There’s nothing that will put you in a better head space than a clean home IMO!!! Start the season off right with a fresh, clean, cosy home!
I’m also one to encourage hiring help for this. There’s literally NO SHAME in that and idk why some would say otherwise. You can pay someone to come in to do the DEEP DEEP clean that you don’t have time for.

candles
Honestly, when I think of “cozy home” I immediately think of candles. The scent of course leaves a cozy smell, but the dim light the candles give makes for the perfect cozy feel in my opinion!
Speaking of candles, I’ve recently discovered a new brand that I’m OBSESSED with! And can be found at Homesense (Canada) and most likely Homegoods (US)! They are huge, smell INCREDIBLE, are aesthetically pleasing, and are very fairly priced! The pumpkin harvest is to die for!
blanket
If you follow me on instagram you know I RAVE about my Pendleton. HEART EYE EMOJIIIIIIII! It’s not exactly aesthetically pleasing but does that even matter when it comes to the most comfort you’ll ever be in? NOPE!
Though it’s REALLY tough to find at the whopping $30 I paid for it at Costco (!!) but on amazon it’s around $80 and my husband and I both would pay that 10 times over again thats how good it is! So if you’re unable to find it in stores or online at your Costco, here it is on Amazon 🙂 along with a few aesthetically pleasing options that are amazing too!
slippers
We also all know I’m a looney for my $25 amazon slippers 😛 and I will 100% always be, but I can’t lie, I’ve had my eye on those UGG slippers for years now and I think this may be my year of snagging them … WE WILL SEE! Until then, these these these!!
target pillows & bedding
spruce up your bedding with new fall vibes – whether it be just a different throw blanket/pillows, sheets, or all new bedding because you deserve it 😛
OKAYYYYY Y’ALL! I recently went home for a wedding and stopped to roam target (like one does of course) and when I tell you I found bedding from heaven OMG! I only had a carry-on so I couldn’t possibly bring it home with me (but I DID grab the pillow cases, they were on sale for $6 are you kidding!)
Kev and I plan on crossing the borders here again soon to hopefully grab the sheets and duvet cover!!!! I had a friend reach out saying they purchased $400 worth of this brand for their bed and they love it. SOLD!
new cozy lounge set
I’m guilty of wearing my husbands L sweatpants and L crewnecks around with absolute zero shame! But sometimes it’s nice to be just as comfy, and at least look halfway decent right? 😛 here’s to promising ourselves we will leave the gremlin life behind us (for a few days of the week)
warmer neutral tones
Bringing out the warmer tones for fall is almost a must right? Like, summer is bright and airy… now we want the warm and cozy! Do this easily by adding a warm toned throw blanket or throw pillows to the couch!
If you decorate for fall, add in some brown/nude/beige/burnt orange etc. decor! (depending on your style of course) If black is more your style then swap out a few of your everyday decor for a darker version OR a lighter version for the contrast! You get the idea, right!?
pumpkins of course
Pumpkins always! Fake, real, glass, plastic, big, small, tall, fat doesn’t matter! Maybe the color changes we made above could be in the form of pumpkins!! These cute pumpkin decor pillows are all the rave this year and I’m LOVING it to make your home more cozy this fall!
I like to do a mixture of real and fake pumpkins! Ones you can put in a box and whip out next year (very budget friendly, I hope my husband reads this!) and some we pick from our annual pumpkin patch date!
mums
Something about mums are just so welcoming?! And that to me is cozy! I can’t WAITTTT to have an actual front porch of my own to have a few mums come this time! Find these at your local nursery or maybe even pumpkin patch!
apple cider & pumpkin donuts
This is a bonus – nothing screams FALL VIBES BABY more than apple cider and cinnamon pumpkin donuts from your local pumpkin patch/farm does it?! Didn’t think so! Go treat yourself, you deserve it <3
