Are you looking for things to {pumpkin} spice up your fall? Here’s my own personal fall bucket list that I’m sharing with YOU!!!

1.) pumpkin patch
First on my fall bucket list is OBVIOUSLY the pumpkin patch. No surprise there!! There’s just something SO FUN about walking around a pumpkin patch picking out your pumpkins for the house! But what’s even better, the cinnamon donuts and apple cider – OH MY GOURD!! Count me in 100 times.
True story, my husband asked me to be his girlfriend 7 years ago after an evening of picking and carving pumpkins – best believe its now a tradition. HAHA! We’ve visited a total of 5 different pumpkin patches, in three different countries on the exact date!
Three Octobers at Peddlers Pumpkin patch in Perrysburg, Ohio – where it all began! One in Brampton, Ontario, Canada. One in Noblesville, Indiana. One one Dundee, Scotland. One in Cincinnati, Ohio. And one in Quebec City, Quebec, Canada!
2.) corn maze
This is an important one on my fall bucket list for this year because I honestly don’t remember the last time I’ve been in a corn maze and that makes me sad!!! Like am I too old for corn mazes, hayrides, and haunted houses?!? Yeah, didn’t think so either! 😉
3.) baking
I usually love to bake year round but obviously, just like everyone else, right around fall and winter I turn into my own version of Betty Crocker. Apple pies with the apples we pick, pumpkin muffins, pumpkin cookies, and my all time favorite pumpkin bread!
I use Shawn Johnsons moms pumpkin bread recipe – found on her instagram (& now also found on her new pumpkin scrub collaboration card with Tula!) in her recipes highlight! The batch makes a lot so you have plenty of options to keep one plain, add icing, add chocolate chips, or even add both to a loaf! YUM!!
4.) DIY
DIY is something that can be done all year round obviously! Getting some fun ideas from Pinterest on how to spice up your home for fall can be a super fun activity, and a plus if you’re on a budget!!
5.) family photos
How fun is this!! I love seeing all the fun family photo ideas that people come up with! Pumpkin patches, corn mazes, and spooky halloween photos! Such a fun time to get creative with it!!!! I added this to my fall bucket list because I’m hoping it will motivate me to do some of my own! wink wink Kev 😉
6.) apple picking
Apple picking is actually SO MUCH FUN. Not really sure what about it makes it that much fun, but hey I’m here for it! PLUS, knowing what will come from the apples afterwards!
Apple pies, are probably my second favorite thing to bake in the fall! I don’t have a specific recipe I use, I typically just look for one on Pinterest and roll with it!
Carmel apples are also SOO GOOD. If there’s anyone else out there with that permanent retainer on the back of their teeth, you know these are a no go. BUT if you slice them (or scoop them into little ball form) then dip them in the Carmel – It’s a GO! 😛
Enjoy this picture of Kevin and I from *SIX YEARS AGO* (omg)
7.) movie marathon
I wish I could say it’s that time of year to whip out the Disney movie marathons – but let’s be real… that’s year round. Hocus Pocus, the fan favorite (DUH) will in fact be playing on repeat. Along with ALL of the Halloweentown movies!!
What’s your favorite fall/halloween movie?! Leave a comment below so I can add it to my list 🙂
8.) scenic drive
If you’ve been following along with me, you all KNOW how much I love my drives! It’s even better when the sun is shining, windows are down, and the trees are beautifully colored! I’m a sucker for ALL OF THOSE THINGS UGH! *heart eye emoji!*
9.) nature hikes/walks
Quebec City is beyond beautiful this time of year and I get to experience it for the FIRST TIME!! We are usually all settled in our home for the hockey season by now so I’ve never gotten to experience a Quebec Fall – AND I’M SO EXCITED!
Find a trail near you and just take in all the colors surrounding you! There’s an app called AllTrails – which helped us big time in Europe – that you’re able to download and time trails near you!! Check it out!
10.) fall cooking
There’s nothing better than a cool crisp evening with a bowl of dads famous CHILI! Yum!!! And speaking of my dad … his veggie soup! Oh myyyy. I could live off of this soup it’s THAT good.
I love love love the crock-pot, but I love it even more when it’s fall, I don’t know why so don’t come for me, it’s just better!!!!
11.) pumpkin spice iced coffee
Yup, betcha saw that one coming! DRINK THESE EVERYDAY UNTIL THEY NO LONGER SELL THEM ANYMORE. I will be!
Starbucks over Dunkin Donuts for this one for sure! Tim Hortons – I’m still waiting on your pumpkin drinks …

12.) FALL CANDLES!!!
This one deserved all caps, and explanation points! These are probably the reason I love fall so much. Because it may look pretty, and feel nice and cozy, but if it doesn’t SMELL like anything fall … I don’t want it!! If this isn’t on your fall bucket list you’re doing it all wrong! Just saying.
I have a few favorites for sure. LEAVES from Bath and Body Works is my all time favorite fall scented candle! But you cannot go wrong with anything apple cinnamon!
13.) halloween costumes
Do you have any halloween party plans?! What about halloween costume plans?! Start researching all the fun things you and your friends, your spouse, your family etc. could be and gather everything to make it just right!!
DIY can make this super fun! Or of course purchasing. Again, Pinterest is a life savor for these things!
14.) fall inspired cocktails
Anyone else up for spiked apple cider? it’s definitely on my list to try this fall, YUM!! Carmel apple sangria, and more! I actually found this page on instagram that was super helpful! Check it out!
15.) shopping
booties!!!! sweaters!!!! leggings!!!! oh my!!!! Fall shopping is my favorite kind of shopping. I love all things sweaters and booties (leggings are year round duh)! It’s actually weird because I’m ALWAYS hot, like always. But I have more fall clothing than I do anything else!
Some of my favorite boutiques:
Some new friend owned boutiques:
Amazon actually has a great selection of sweaters and I have a few favorites of my own, but this one is my most worn!
16.) farmers markets
This is such a fun activity, for me anyway! Farmers markets are full of so many fun things to look at and purchase all while supporting locally! Plus – if you’re planning on making the chili or veggie soup like mentioned above, this is the perfect place to get all your meats and veggies!!
And while you’re at it, treat yourself and grab a boutique a flowers on the way out! They WILL look great on your kitchen island I promise 😉 You DO need them. #personalhypegirl
17.) decorate
Decorating for fall is like the kickoff to all the holiday fun for the season! Whether it’s your porch, your kitchen, your living room, or even your …. laundry room?! yeah I don’t know some people seem to be doing it *shoulder shrug emoji* HAHA!

18.) having a bonfire
SO FUN! I think my favorite fall smell (other than my candles) is walking around outside with the crisp air and smelling a bonfire!!!
Even better when it’s you having one! There’s just something about that smell that lingers in your hair for three days eh?!
This is also prime time to grab all your goodies to make s’mores – YUM!
19.) sports
Fall in America means football! And as Sunday’s may start with Jesus they end with bud light, chili, and hopefully a home team win! As for me and my fam – fall means hockey (well actually so does winter and spring LOL)! So whether you’re bundling up and heading for the football stadium, or bundling up and heading for the ice arena, get some friends together and have yourself a day/night!
20.) cozy up
Speaking of bundling up! When you think anything fall, you’re thinking cozy! Cozy sweaters, cozy weather, cozy home, etc.etc. Might as well COZY UP on the couch with your favorite blanket & favorite person, and drink those fall inspired cocktails while eating your chili or veggie soup, m watching Hocus Pocus (or the sports games), with your LEAVES candle burning and cookies in the oven WITH your house fully decorated!
Ahhh, pure bliss <3

I absolutely love this list! Fall baking and pumpkin spice lattes are my absolute faves in the fall, but you’ve inspired me to do so much more! Lol. I’m definitely going to need to hit up a pumpkin patch and go apple picking.
