the minimalist fall bucket list 2022
FALL IS HERE AND I AM SO HAPPY!!!! Can’t ya tell! Fall is my absolute FAVORITE season! I’ve jotted down a few fall bucket list items that I think are very minimalist, inexpensive if not free, calming, and just all around things that make me happy during the fall!
Be sure to comment on my instagram post below telling me your favorite fall activity or bucket list item for this year! <3
visit a new pumpkin patch
If you’re new around here, Kev and I’s (dating) anniversary tradition is the pumpkin patch (aka where he asked me to be his girlfriend almost 9 years ago LOL) usually this is during hockey season so we’ve been pretty fortunate enough to have seen many different pumpkin patches over the years and so far in three different countries!
We now find it boring to visit the same one each year so this year we’ll be heading to Minot, North Dakota to check out Berry Acres! It’s only about a 4 hour drive across the border and we’ll be making a pit stop at Target so I bet you all can just imagine how excited I am for this little trip!
make pumpkin bread
Everyone here now knows I am NOT a baker… but I try so hard every year. I’m officially giving up this year LOL. I’ve went from the Shawn Johnson Pumpkin recipe(can be found here!), to the box (gluten free) recipe and I’m super excited to *hopefully not fail* try it!
dress up for halloween
I’m so excited for this!! I haven’t dressed up for halloween in what feels like forever!! Still really don’t know what I’m going to be – help a girl out!! (couple costumes preferred!)
bake homemade apple pie
Okay, like I said above, I’m not a baker!! But I have baked an apple pie in the past and it was soooo good, so I’m giving it another shot this year! Wish me luck! I think I’ll be trying this recipe here, but if you have one you swear by, send it over!!! (please!)
hot apple cider + hockey games
SO NOSTALGIC. Brings me back to the good ole college days when we would bundle up, grab a hot apple cider and watch our boys play!
bonfires
Nothing screams FALL more than a bonfire with some friends right? And waking up with that campfire smell stuck in your hair! Mmmm
outdoor walks while I still can
The temps might be dropping (and fast here in Saskatchewan) but the sun is still beaming and the trees are poppin’ with color so as long as I can bare the temps I’ll be getting my vitamin D steps in!
get new fall nail colors
We all know I don’t stray far from my pale pink, and white nail color… but I’m really feeling a change this year and think I’m going to pull the plug on new fall nail colors! I found these on amazon and am reallllly loving the wine color!
hocus pocus 2 night
Ahhhhhhh! I know it came out a few days ago but I promised our cousins I would wait until this Friday so we could be together to watch it… and I’m SO EXCITED!!!!
bring out fall clothes
I’m a sucker for big sweaters. Anything cozy, count me in! I’m excited to make this closet transition and HoPeFuLly add a few new pieces this year 😛
make all my fave soups + try new!
I LOVEEE soups, and soups in the fall are EVERYTHING! My go-tos are my dads homemade vegetable soup and chili! Though I just recently tried my friends homemade chicken noodle soup and YUM – it might be a new fave!
burn allllllll the fall candles
Very cliche and very on brand for me, but it is what it is 😛 I found a new candle company that I’m obsessed with!!! I found them at homesense (so, homegoods in the US) and the heritage pumpkin is SO GOOD. (but if you’re more of a clean neutral smell type of gal the “calm” scent is TO DIE FOR!) DW HOME CANDLES
