From my family to yours, we are wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year
MERRY CHRISTMAS!!
Today’s post is very short and simple so we can all go back to QUALITY time with our loved ones! Kevin and I are usually spending the holidays in a new city each year, sometimes able to see family, most times not. As that is usually our “normal” we have experienced an unexpected change in events this month/year (add that on to our 2020 list) and are choosing to look at the positives… spending Christmas with family!
Below I’m sharing some thoughts, as well as being VERY optimistic for the year 2021, and a few goals (all of which I will be able to control MYSELF because if we learned anything this year it’s to not rely on anyone or anything amiiiiright!!!!) that I hope you’re able to relate too and maybe even encourages you to create a little list of your own!
REFLECTIONS
- compare yourself to NO ONE else: we are all in different waves of life
- reach out when you need it, no matter how often it may be
- being alone, and being lonely are two completely different things
- the world doesn’t hate you and a bad day doesn’t define you
- if it’s toxic, it’s gotta go – no “if’s” “and’s” or “but’s” – c ya!
- you’re not a bad friend if you’re not calling daily
- take care of yourself, take care of your loved ones, and never take one second of life for granted
- first year of marriage isn’t as hard as everyone claims it to be, even in a pandemic 😛
GOALS
- work on myself more than I have ever worked on myself before
- not care what ANYONE thinks of the way i’m living MY life
- hard work will pay off – just keep pushing!
- spend more QUALITY time with my husband – we all know the quantity is there LOL
- be fearless when it comes to new life changes
- take more photos with myself in them!!
- floss… regularly
- get somewhat “put together” and “presentable” more days than not
- plan a honeymoon we won’t want to come back from!
